Caring For Knitwear and Delicates

Caring For Knitwear and Delicates

Crafted with care and zero waste fibres, our knitwear essentials are designed for everyday wear and to keep you cosy all winter long. Use a gentle soap like Koala Eco Natural Laundry Delicate Wash and follow our care guide to enjoy your favourite pieces year after year.

Washing

When washing knitwear and delicates, always use a cold delicate cycle on your washing machine. This gentle setting helps prevent fabric damage and maintains the softness of the fibres. We recommend washing your ROWIE pieces with Koala Eco Natural Laundry Delicate Wash. Designed for the care of delicate fabrics such as silk, lace, satin, chiffon, and wool, this plant-based and eco-friendly formula is good for your most-loved clothing and the planet.

DRYING

After washing, gently pull your damp garment back into its original shape. This helps maintain its fit and structure, ensuring it looks as beautiful as it did when you first wore it. Lay your garments flat to dry in a shaded area to preserve their colour and shape and to prevent stretching. Do not tumble dry your delicate ROWIE pieces.

STORAGE

Proper storage is key for knitwear and delicate clothing. Fold your items and place them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid hanging delicate items, as this can cause stretching and misshaping. For knitwear, consider using breathable storage containers or cotton garment bags to protect them from dust and pests.

ADDITIONAL TIPS

For small stains, spot clean with a mild detergent and cold water. Gently dab the stain without rubbing, which can spread the stain and damage the fibres.

To prevent pilling, avoid friction against rough surfaces and be cautious when wearing jewellery that might snag the fabric. If a snag does occur, push the loose thread back into the garment, turn it inside out and secure it by tying a knot.

Darn small holes by threading new yarn through in both a vertical and horizontal direction.
